John is an inventor, system designer, architect, programmer & accomplished guitarist. With an IT professional background of over twenty years, a background in electrical engineering and a career stemming from a group of the most prestigious organizations in the United States, he is responsible for the innovation, power, and capabilities that are the essence of the Ion Objects Architecture.

John began his career with Bell Laboratories as a C programmer working on Navy and Pentagon systems. As he moved to more senior positions, John became an expert of SQL programming working with AT&T, and the National Cash Register Corporation (NCR). John took a strategic position with Newport News Ship Building, a key US government contracting firm and then made a transition into the financial services sector by joining Fidelity Investments in Boston.

While at Fidelity, he created a leading edge technology system enabling the firm to move to the front of automated order taking in an electronic banking and investment environment. For this contribution, Fidelity presented John with their President's Award for excellence and innovation.

From Fidelity, John moved to Silicon Valley where he developed expertise in architecture and development of large-scale client-server systems Siebel Systems and Remedy Corporation. Many of the developed systems and applications continue to be in use today. John was also recognized for his outstanding work on the "Applications Gallery" while at Remedy Corporation and also received the "Top Gun" Award in 1999 for his contribution to excellence at Siebel Systems.

Constantly learning and inventing, John has extensive research and development with "code-generators" computer programs that generate or "write" other computer programs. He combined this experience with real-world business problems experience. The code generator proved to be an effective means of delivering extremely high quality, powerful, and large scale business applications in a fraction of the time it takes larger teams to accomplish the same tasks. Again, this is one of the key features of what is now the Ion Objects Architecture.

Prior to founding Ion Objects, John started Truion, a consulting company, which working to address the specific computer and systems needs of his clients. He later organized the team who produced the first applications used by the Ion Objects Architecture, Customer Solutions Online (CSO). John founded the company to market, build and install customized versions and strategic modules of the application.

Today Truion and Ion Objects support clients with the highest levels of innovation, an "anything is possible" attitude, and exceptional customer service. Ion Objects brings together all of John's experience, the concepts of code generation and configurable business objects, and the latest Java and web-based technologies to create a powerful business application engine – the Ion Objects Architecture.

John received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of North Carolina.
